The Benefits of Post Natal Pilates
Have you heard about Post Natal Pilates but wondered what it was? Perhaps you’ve had a baby recently and are keen to get back exercising?
As the title says, this is a Pilates class for mums after baby is born. The teacher is the wonderful Kate (who also teaches pregnancy and regular classes here at the studio). We usually recommend mums wait 6 weeks after D-day or 12 if you’ve had a cesarean. And then we welcome you in to our warm, cosy space for safe exercising.
So, why chose Post Natal Pilates?
Lots of reasons.
- We work on those pelvic floor muscles, strengthening and tightening them.
- We refocus our attention on the abs, getting them back in to shape in a safe and correct way
- Pilates can help to improve your posture.
- And aid in weight loss.
As well as all of those obvious benefits it’s a fun class. It’s a great way to meet other new mums in a relaxed and supportive environment. Kate promises to keep classes on the right side of challenging and all strength levels are catered for. We will use the class to rebuild strong, mobile bodies and you should always leave feeling better than when you came in.
So, come alone or bring your baby (they can hang out with our toys, while you workout!)
Our terms run in 5 week loops – 5 weeks for €50 or drop in for €15/10*. Book here
*€10 if you’re already booked into another Mum and Baby course with us.
